Patient, male, 45 years old, has experienced recurrent intermittent fever over the past three months, with body temperature fluctuating between 37.5°C and 39.0°C, without a clear pattern. The patient also reports generalized weakness, decreased appetite, and a weight loss of approximately 5 kg. During fevers, there is no chills or significant sweating. Additionally, the patient has developed mild edema in both lower limbs, with no obvious pain or redness. The patient sought medical attention at a local hospital due to the fever. Blood tests showed normal white blood cell count, slightly reduced hemoglobin levels, and normal platelet count. Urinalysis and liver and kidney function tests did not reveal any significant abnormalities. Chest X-ray was unremarkable. The patient has no significant past medical history and denies recent travel or contact history. Currently, the symptoms persist and have progressively worsened, significantly impacting daily life. Therefore, the patient has come to our hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
