A previous RCT investigated the efficacy of concurrent chemoradiotherapy versus radiotherapy alone for treating malignant esophageal strictures [7]. The results showed no significant difference in the improvement rate of dysphagia between the two groups (45% vs. 35%), and the overall survival (OS) was also similar (6.9 vs. 6.7 months).
