In summary, this study confirmed through multidimensional baseline analysis that the gut microbiota of the MC group and the NC group were generally balanced, with only minor differences in a few low-abundance bacterial genera and functional pathways. This not only validates the scientific rigor of the study design but also clarifies the baseline characteristics of the gut microbiota in patients with stable COPD and Qi deficiency syndrome, laying a solid foundation for subsequent intervention effect analysis. Additionally, the pathway difference studies supplemented in the baseline analysis are more comprehensive compared to previous similar studies, further highlighting the rigor of this study design.
