Under routine hospital storage conditions, no abnormal microbial contamination was detected in Pinellia ternata (Ban Xia) and Arisaema erubescens (Tian Nan Xing) at different storage intervals. This also provides a microbiological reference for determining the shelf life of these two herbal preparations.
