Using the Hospital Information System (HIS) of a certain hospital and the Chao Ran Intravenous Medication Preparation Center Management System v4.0 software, we extracted the usage data of antitussive, expectorant, and bronchodilator drugs from January 2024 to March 2025. The data were statistically analyzed using Excel tables to examine the distribution of appropriate drug use across departments, as well as the distribution by age, gender, and frequency. Additionally, the analysis focused on the irrational use of drugs in terms of solvents, fluid volume, dosage, administration methods, and other aspects of improper drug use across different departments. We then evaluated the clinical use of injectable antitussive, expectorant, and bronchodilator drugs. Subsequently, the top three drugs with the highest consumption were selected, and their monthly consumption from January 2024 to March 2025 was used to construct an ARIMA model. This model was then used to predict future usage of these drugs.
