There is evidence suggesting that the overexpression of PSMA is closely related to the loss of the PTEN gene, activation of the PI3K/AKT pathway, and epigenetic regulation mediated by EZH2. Additionally, the expression of PSMA is positively regulated by the androgen receptor signaling pathway. Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) further upregulates PSMA expression, creating favorable conditions for subsequent targeted therapy.
