The box plot analysis of differential species showed that the abundances of Blautia and Dialister were significantly higher in the MC group compared to the NC group (P < 0.05). Blautia has strain-specific properties and is known as a beneficial gut bacterium, capable of producing short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) and regulating the function of the intestinal mucosal barrier. The increased abundance of Blautia may be a compensatory response of the body, attempting to maintain intestinal microecological balance. However, some studies have also suggested its association with inflammatory diseases. Dialister has been implicated in the regulation of intestinal inflammation in some studies, and its increased abundance may be closely related to the gut inflammation-immune axis. The significant enrichment of these two genera in the MC group suggests that patients in this group may exhibit more pronounced characteristics of dysbiosis.
